Arbutus Compton

Arbutus “Boots” Compton, 74, of Forest Oaks Apts. in Albemarle, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2010 at Carolinas Medical Center NorthEast in Concord. She is survived by her two daughters; Janie Owens and husband Larry, along with her two grandchildren, Amanda and Daniel Owens of Albemarle, Malinda Heizer and husband Jason, along with her three great grandchildren, Gabriel, Olivia and Sophia Heizer of Chesapeake, Va. Ms. Compton’s family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Her family appreciates all the love and support of her friends and neighbors during her illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to The Heart Foundation, 32107 Lindero Canyon Road, Suite 235, Westlake Village, Ca. 91361.
