Donald "Don" Nixon

Donald Wayne Nixon, 79, of Concord, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at Atrium Health Cabarrus Hospital in Concord.

Mr. Nixon was born July 25, 1943, in North Carolina to the late Otto Nixon and the late Helena Nixon. He is preceded in death by son, David Wayne Nixon and brother, Steve
Nixon.

Don loved Jesus, his family and his cars. He was an avid car builder and car collector throughout his life. Don and the love of his life, Martha, would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on March 2nd. Don’s wish was for everyone to know Jesus.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Pitts Baptist Church in Concord, NC. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Pitts Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Scott Davis. Burial will follow at the Forest Lawn West Cemetery at 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte officiated by Pastor Quentin Long, Fusion City Church.

Survivors include wife, Martha Sales Nixon of Concord, NC, son, Darren (Angela) Nixon, daughter, Dana (William) Absher, granddaughter, Reise (Garrett) Woodie, grandson, Jordan Nixon, grandson, Peyton Nixon, Great- Grandson, Rett Woodie, and Baby Woodie due in July 2023.
