Gregory Austin

Gregory Paul Austin, of Charlotte, NC, went to be with his Lord early August 30, 2009. He was the son of Georgia Tucker Austin, and the late Graham Paul Austin. He was a member of Newell Baptist Church, with a strong faith in Jesus Christ. He is survived by his mother, Georgia Austin of the home;sister, Ginger Austin Schaarschmidt and husband, Chris; niece, Samantha Schaarschmidt; Aunt Betty Connell and husband, Jimmy; Aunt Zeda Austin; many cousins; and a long time special friend, Debbie Carlton. The family will receive friends Monday, August 8, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The service will be held at Newell Baptist Church, Charlotte, officiated by Rev. Chris Hilliard, on Tuesday September 1, 2009, with burial in the church cemetery. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
