Idelvina "Nina" Clifford

Idelvina "Nina" C. Clifford, 80, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022.

Nina was born July 20, 1941, in Guanica, Puerto Rico, to the late Jose Ortiz and the late Adelina Iruzarry.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rafael Carreras, Sr., second husband, Eugene "Gino" Clifford; and eight siblings.

Nina was a devout follower of Christ and a parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church of Charlotte, NC.  Nina was very charismatic and her energy would fill the room.  She'll be remembered for her wonderful cooking, her great sense of humor, and her passion for novelas and Marc Anthony.  She was affectionately known as Honey-Nose, Farina, and Ninin.  Nina lovingly raised her children and grandchildren.  Most of all, she will be remembered as a devoted mother, abuela, great-grandma, sister, and tia.

Survivors include son, Rafael "Archie" Carreras, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; son, Darren (Elizabeth) Carreras of Charlotte, NC; sister, Solida (Wilfredo) Domenech of New York, NY; sister, Felicia Diaz of Pompano Beach, FL; grandsons, Christopher Carreras and Darren Carreras Jr.; great-grandchildren, Tayshawn, Amillianna, Briella, and Desteni Carreras; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Monday, February 28, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg, with the Rosary Prayer Service at 7:00 pm (webcast: https://video.ibm.com/channel/drygeSYpxX7 ), led by Deacon Joseph Diaz.  The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Charlotte, NC, officiated by Fr. Raymond Ekosse.  Nina will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery, Queens, NY, at a later date.
