Jerry Porter Sr.

Jerry Wayne Porter, 63, of Concord, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Monday, October 3, 2022.

Jerry was born January 15, 1959, in Mooresville, NC, to Larry Cecil Porter Sr. and the late Peggy Jean Hedrick Hull.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Anderson Porter.

Jerry retired as a heavy equipment operator in construction.  He absolutely loved dirt track racing and motorcycles.  Most of all, Jerry dearly loved and cared about his family.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Vickie "Rayna" Porter of the home; son, Derrick Burgess (Porter) of Concord; son, Jerry "JP" Porter, Jr. of Concord; father, Cecil (Margaret) Porter, Sr. of VA; grandchildren, Dillon and Hailey; great-granddaughter, Kora; and his special dog, Mya.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord.
