Karen Mason

Karen Michelle Mason, 53, of Concord, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at her home in Concord, NC.

Karen Troutman Mason was so many things in one beautiful sweet soul. She was a mother ,sister, aunt and a friend but above all she was a warrior and a giver. She has spent so much of her life giving and helping anyone she could. She would go broke emotionally and financially if it meant helping someone or putting a smile on their face. She never once asked for anything in return, she genuinely did everything out of the kindness of her heart. She will always a warrior fighting cancer and beating it, even though it came back, she kept fighting. It was hard on her and took a lot but she fought and fought hard for her family and for her honorary grandchildren Logan and Gracie Carpenter. She loved every second she had with them and her family for they were her true treasures. She fought to continue being the glue that held the Troutman family together always trying to mend any broken bonds between family members and doing her best to keep us connected. There is No One like her and never will be, she will never be forgotten. We are all blessed to have had her in our lives as she was such a happy soul and we are all a little better for every day we had her in our lives. We will all miss her and even though its hard to say goodbye, it's especially hard to know that one of God's brightest lights has gone home to be with him and not here to light up our lives anymore. Karen was born February 14, 1968 in Cabarrus County to the late Ernest Harrison Troutman and the late Frances "Carolyn" Troutman.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kitsie Shaver.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, August 30, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 2:00 pm at  Living Water Church Of God Fellowship in Kannapolis officiated by Wade Easom.  Burial will follow at the New Gilead Reformed United Church Cemetery, 2400 Old Salisbury - Concord Rd , Concord, NC.

Survivors include sons, Michael Mason of Concord, NC, and Christopher Mason, of Concord, NC;  brother, Kenneth (Jackie) Troutman of Concord, NC;  sister, Kimberly Daniels of Tennessee; sister, Kristen (Rick) Carpenter of Concord, NC;  sister, Trisha (Larry) McSwain of Monroe, NC;  brother, Kevin (Erin) Troutman of Concord, NC;  and godchildren, Logan and Gracelynn Carpenter of Concord, NC.
