Roy Goodman

Roy Lee Goodman, 80, of 610 Neisler Road, Concord, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Rutherford Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at 4 PM in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord. Mr. Goodman was born October 14, 1928 in Cabarrus County to the late Gilbert Goodman and the late Nettie Wishon Goodman. He was self-employed as a farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jaroice Brock. Survivors include his wife, Jessie G. Goodman, of the home; sons Benny S. Goodman of Asheville and Lanny R. Goodman of Alderson, WV; daughters Janea Henderson of Concord and Jerrin Love of Frederick, OK; sister Bobbie Lomax of Concord; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CVAN Women's Program, P.O.
