Shelia Rabon

Shelia Diane Rabon, 66 years of age, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Carolinas HealthCare System University in Charlotte.

Shelia was born September 14, 1951 in North Carolina to the late Jessie Ray Long Sr. and the late Mary Frances Lambert Long. She was a graduate of Central Cabarrus High School.
Shelia recently retired, after 34 years, from Cardinal Innovations Healthcare.

There will be a Memorial Celebration for family and friends at 6:00 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral home, Branchview, in Concord. The service will be officiated by Rev Steve Pennington.

Survivors include Michael Rabon of Kannapolis and their 2 daughters, Lori Rabon Anderson of Cary, NC, husband, Daniel. and Brooklyn Rabon Gibson of Concord, husband, Craig. Six Grand-children, Seth and Jacob Anderson, Zachary and Alexis Carter and Gauge and Molly Gibson. Her siblings, Rita Long Howard, and spouse Mickey of Albemarle, Becky Long Blackwelder of Concord, Jessie Long Jr (Bucky) and spouse, Rosalyn, of Charlotte, Alan Long of Mocksville, and spouse Lynn, Connie Long Carlucci of Charlotte, and spouse Tommy.

She was loved by many nieces and nephews and friends.

She lived by the quote "Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God. "

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to United Cerebral Palsy.
