Adeline Brattain

Adeline Mary Lovingood Brattain, 86 years of age, of Locust, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Bethany Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Albemarle. Adeline was born May 22, 1927 in Cherokee County, NC to the late Allen Lovingood and the late Elsie Louise Griggs Lovingood. She was also preceded in death by husband, Edward James Brattain in May 2013. The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Clint Lewey. The burial will be at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanfield. She is survived by her son, Oscar Ervin of Locust; and grandson, Michael Ashley Ervin of Charlotte. Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 9360 Oak Grove Rd., Stanfield, NC 28163.
