Adona Bost

Adona Sue Russell Bost, 54 years of age, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at her home. Adona was born February 25, 1959 in Charlotte, NC to the late Worth Slade Russell, Jr. and Linda Sue Knight Russell of Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 27, 2014 at West Concord Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary officiated by Rev. Mike Farley. The burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park - Harrisburg, 12015 University City Blvd. in Charlotte. At other times the family will be gathering at the home. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Ronald Calvin Bost, Sr. of the home; sons, Ronald Calvin Bost, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Concord, Henry "Hank" Lee Bost of Harrisburg, and Benjamin "Seth" Bost of Harrisburg; daughter, Aleigha Shaun Benfield and Anthony Asbury of Richmond, VA; ten grandchildren, Secret, Blake, Brendon, Madison, Makenzie, Makaila, Taylor, Callie, Easton, and Lexi; brothers, Worth Slade Russell, III (Liz) of Charlotte, and Clifton Dow Russell (Ailene) of Sharon, SC. Adona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She loved the Lord and her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Adona worked as a daycare teacher for Derita Daycare, and later retired from Slayton Computers, where she was the office manager. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 222 South Church Street, Suite 303 Charlotte, NC 28202 and West Concord Baptist Church Victory March Building Fund, 225 Warren C.
