Agnes Sabol

Agnes Alice Sabol, 84, of Concord, passed away on Monday March 27, 2017 at her home.

The family will have a memorial service 3 o’clock on April 8, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church. Located at 139 Manor Avenue SW, Concord, NC 28025. Father Jerome Chavarria will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at a later date in PA.

Agnes was born in West Hazelton, PA to Agnes and William Lamasko on March 8, 1933. She grew up and married the love of her life, Stephen Sabol on June 27, 1953. They were happily married for 51 years. She worked hard to earn an associate degree as a computer operator from CPCC as well as to learn American sign language. Although her most noted and prized profession was one of a homemaker. She raised seven wonderful children and assisted with four of her grandchildren. She was involved heavily with St James Church in her younger years when her health was better.

Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Sabol; brothers, Johnny, Joe, Frankie, Leo and her sister, Mary; one special niece who died too early Kathy Smith.

Agnes is survived by her children, Donna Sabol, Steven Sabol (Jean), Diane Sabol, Deborah Sabol, Daniel Sabol, Doris Sabol and Dean Sabol (Stacy); two sisters, Betty Skavisk and Dorothy Lamasko; ten grandchildren, Derrick Sabol (Emily), Domenic Sabol (Sarah), Melissa Sabol, Sarah Dusinberre (Aaron), Joshua Sabol, Daniel Sabol(Becca), Jessica Sabol (Jarrett), Cody Sabol (Katie), Cameron Sabol (Meagan) and Kellan Sabol; six great grandchildren, Austin Sabol, Madison Sabol, Wren Sabol, Isaiah Lee, Rylan Sabol and Graceyn Sabol.

Agnes loved art and enjoyed to paint. She has many original paintings in her home. In addition, she loved to research her genealogy. Recently after being reconnected to some family in Belarus after a long search she was able to connect to cousins Raisa losifovna Shimanchuk.

Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice in memory of Agnes Sabol.

The family of Agnes Sabol wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Kelling, Cabarrus County DHS, Senior Helpers, Interium Healthcare and Brenda nurse aide, Gentiva Healthcare, PHC Homehealth, CCTS, Adept transport and Charlie S., Apria Respiratory, Chris McGuniness and Alice at Gateway Lymphedema Clinic, CMC Sanger Clinic, CMC Northeast, Cabarrus Rescue Squad, Fire Department, Police Department, Emergency Response and all other facilities that assisted in care of our mother.
