Aileen Goldston

Aileen Elizabeth Lee Goldston, 88, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at CMC-NorthEast. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord on Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 12 until 2 PM. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 2 PM, with Dr. Darrell Nance officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Goldston was born on January 22, 1925 in Cabarrus County to the late James Elmore Lee, Sr. and Kate Kelly King Lee. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Marshall A. Goldston, Sr., and a brother Louis Lee. Aileen was very active playing sports in school. She also played softball for a team where she worked. Aileen loved taking care of stray animals, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Becky Goldston Sloop of Mt. Pleasant and Judy Lee Goldston of Concord; brother, James E. Lee, Jr. and (Vida) of Locust; grandchildren, Franklin Faggart and (Heather) of Concord, Jennifer Ellenburg and husband Michael of Mooresville, Rodney Hinson and wife Jill of Mooresville, and Elizabeth Furr of Concod; great grandchildren, Abby, Lillyann, Kristen, Isabella, Courtney, C.J.,Kamden, Zach, and Alex.
