Alan Boles, Jr

Alan Willard Boles, Jr., 73 years of age, of Concord,NC formerly of Newburgh, NY, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at home with his family by his side.

Alan was born April 22, 1944 in Cornwall, NY to the late Alan Willard Boles Sr. and the late Marjorie Anne (Kennedy) Boles.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Boles; daughter Alana B. Melton and husband Pat; grandson David B. Parker and wife Tonya; granddaughter Jennifer Beam and husband Matt; grandsons Josh Melton and wife Jennifer, Casey Melton and wife Ashley, and Taylor Melton and wife Kristin; great grandchildren Camden, Harleigh, Tristan and Bentley; sisters Martha Hasbrouck, Carol McDonald and husband Jim, Kathy Lennon and husband Jack; and his faithful companion Lucky.

Alan proudly served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. He retired from IBM after 30 years.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Tim Newton.
