Alan Efird

Doug Efird, 66 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Efird was born April 17, 1951 to the late Robert Efird and Floraine Hartsell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sons, Adrian Dantley Efird, and Ramsey Kyle Efird.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel in Albemarle officiated by Pastor Clinton Efird and Pastor Gary Cox. Burial will follow in the Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.

Survivors include wife of 40 years, Carol Barbee Efird; sisters, Nancy Culp and Karen Bryans; as well as several nieces and nephews.
