Albert Furr

Albert Junior Furr, 77, of Concord, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Tucker Hospice House. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord on Friday, April 13, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Reverends Ron Rider and Michael Covington, will be in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, March 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Albert was born on March 24, 1935, to the late Albert Authur Furr and the late Mary Idabelle Brooks Furr. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Raymer Furr; two sons, Tim Furr and wife Terry of Midland and Tommy Furr of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Mary Jo Blackwelder and husband Howard of Concord; three sisters, Bessie Smith of Oakboro, Emma Gulledge of Kannapolis and Eloise Dawson of Concord; seven grandchildren, Phillip and Michael Blackwelder, Hunter, Heath and A.J. Furr, Alaina Furr Townley and Chad Broadway; eight great-grandchildren, Aaron, Austin, Ayanna, Alissa and Derrick Blackwelder, Aiden Townley, and Atlas and Vaden Broadway. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Furr family.
