Albert Rhyne

Albert Lee Rhyne, 77, of 1025 E. Main Street, Albemarle, NC passed away on July 19, 2011 at his home. The family will receive friends from 3-4 PM on Friday, July 22 at South Albemarle Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The Charlotte Fire Department will serve as Honor Guards at the receiving. The service will be held at 4 PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Plyler Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Danny Laws and Eddie Connell will officiate. Military honors will be conducted at the grave by the Stanly County DAV Chapter 12. Mr. Rhyne was a veteran of the US Marines in Korea. Mr. Rhyne was born in Lincoln County, NC on June 19, 1934 to the late Birdie “Slim” and Flossie Rhyne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Brown. Mr. Rhyne is survived by his wife of 29 years, Joyce Elaine Smith Rhyne; son in law, Mark Brown of Davidson; grandchildren, Kristopher Lee Honeycutt, Zachary Dylan Brown, both of Davidson; and brother, Joe Rhyne of Lincolnton.
