Alfred Walter, Sr

Alfred Pinkney Walter, 92 years of age, of Concord, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at his residence. Alfred was born November 11, 1921 in North Carolina to Late Pink Alison Walter and Elis Maggie Faggart Walter . He was also preceded in death by wife, Elsie Mae Simpson Walter. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm, Monday, June 16, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. A graveside service, officiated by Rev. James Stickland will follow at 1:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Survivors include three sons, Alfred Walters Jr., Charlie Walter Sr, and Roy Walter all of Concord, NC; two grandsons, Charlie Ray Walter Jr. and Steven Walter Jr. both of Concord, NC. Alfred was of the baptist faith and a U.S. Army Veteran. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Walter family.
