Alice Henderson

Alice Marie Henderson, 93, of Monroe, NC passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Concord Place Assisted Living in Concord, NC.

Alice was born July 15, 1926 in Charlotte, NC to the late Claude Caldwell Thomas and the late Annie Belle Hinson Thomas.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Adam Burnette Henderson; her son Burnie Henderson, Jr.; grandson Darcy Carlton, Jr.; brothers Hoyle, Howard and Bud Thomas; and sister Dot Helms.

Survivors include daughter, Brenda Gaddy; daughter, Becky Cootes and husband David; daughter-in-law, Tammy Henderson; grandchildren Cheree Caven, Mark Gaddy and wife Raquel, Brandon Gaddy and wife Terri, Shanna Semones and husband Mike, Adam Henderson, III and wife Tanis; great grandchildren Coleton, Cassady, Casey, Jordan, Alexa, Allison, Will, Kirsten, Karis, Kaylan "Boo", Aubrey, Shelby, Levi, Jaxson and Grayson; sister Elsie Griggs; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Alice was known for being such a Godly woman, who freely spread her Christian testimony.  She always had a smile on her face to share with everyone.  Alice will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 1:30pm - 2:45pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Hopewell Baptist Church Legacy Campus, 420 Hopewell Church Road in Monroe. The funeral service will follow at 3:00pm officiated by Pastor Brian Austin.  Mrs. Henderson will be laid to rest in the church cemetery following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or the American Diabetes Foundation.
