Alice Plowman

Alice Louise Plowman, 94, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Woodhaven Court in Albemarle.

Alice was born December 9, 1927 in North Carolina to the late Talmadge Dewhitt Loflin and the late Jennie Lee Loflin.
She was also preceded in death by husband, Amos Ray Plowman, son, Kenneth Ray Plowman, brother, Dolan Loflin, brother, George David Loflin, sister, Vonceil Hulin, and sister, Jewell Sides.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm, Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Paul's Crossing Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Paul's Crossing Baptist Church in Richfield officiated by Rev. Mark Little and Rev. Marc Sessions. Burial will follow at the church cemetery at 40461 Paul's Crossing Road, Richfield.

Alice was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a fantastic cook.  She loved tending to her many gorgeous flowers in the garden.  But most of all, Alice enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the beach.  She was known for her skill with a sewing needle, and was able to crochet, cross-stitch, and knit, and loved teaching others these crafts.  Alice was a godly woman and was very dedicated to serving the Lord through her church, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include granddaughter, Michelle (Tony) Shue of New London, NC, daughter-in-law, Dianne Plowman of Mount Pleasant, NC, brother, Huey (Pat) Loflin of Thomasville, NC, brother, Gene Loflin of Shallotte, NC; great-grandchildren, Austin Shue, and Emily Shue.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County and to the Paul's Crossing Cemetery Fund
