Alice Schell
February 8, 1943 — January 28, 2017
Alice "Vernie" Veronica Schell, 73 years of age, of Concord, NC formerly of Huntington Beach, CA, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis surrounded by her loving family.
Vernie was born February 8, 1943 in Vancouver, Washington to the late Vincent Thomas Gill and the late Margaret Gannon Gill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Benjamin Schell; her sister, Patsy Bauer; twin great grandchildren Rae and Lee Patton; step grandson Daniel Johnston.
Survivors include her loving dog "Honey"; daughter, Robin Noffsinger and husband Brad; brother-in-law, John Bauer; sister-in-law, Jeanette Staffieri and husband, Wes; step children Dan and Deb Schell; Dave and Linda Schell; Diane and Rick Blair; Cindy and Rick Johnston; Linda and Clark Tracey; grandchildren Christina and Matt Snead; Jamie and JR Patton; Jen and Travis Dunn; David Schell; Katie Schell; Greg Schell; Stephanie and Mike Lee; Bryan and Berna Schell; Allan and Michelle Schell; Steve and Regina Schell; Tiffany and Brock Wortman; Jason and Megan Jakubaitis; great grandchildren Madie, Aiden and Peyton; Blake and Camber; Taylor and Ashley; Kody, Kaden and Kloe; Lily and Noah; Eleanor, Gwen and Henry; Ben, Chloe and Lola; Aysiah, Michael, Taylor and Bryce; Lauren, Ashley, Kristen, Matthew and Sarah.
Alice "Vernie" Schell, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Vernie lived in sunny California most of her life. She retired from Douglas Aircraft/Boeing in Long Beach, CA with more than thirty years of service. Her and her loving dog, Honey, moved to Concord in 2013 to be closer to family after her husband, Fred, of 40 years passed away.
She will always be remembered for her beautiful eyes and smile, her laughter, humor and witty sarcasm.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Tim Newton.
