Alice Troutman

June 18, 1932 — April 8, 2016


Alice Louise Ridenhour Troutman, 83 years of age, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Carolinas ContinueCARE Hospital at Pineville.

Mrs. Troutman was born June 18, 1932 in Concord, NC to the late Harry H. Ridenhour and the late Gladys Ridenhour. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Beaver.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 65 years, Harold E. Troutman; sons Glenn Troutman & wife, Teresa, Roger Troutman & wife, Kathi, and Mark Troutman & wife Tiffany; grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer, Chad, Justin, Jessica, Samantha, Amelia and Julia; three great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Molly and Mika; her brother, Charles Ridenhour; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Alice was a loving woman who cared deeply for her family and others more than herself. She enjoyed cooking for big family events like birthdays and holidays, as well as gardening and taking care of her animals. In her spare time she enjoyed word searches and reading. Alice was a shining example of God's love, as well as a faithful and dedicated life-long servant of Christ.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, Monday, April 11, 2016 at Cold Springs United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm officiated by Rev. Tony Bell, Rev. Mary Hatley and Rev. Clarence Sifford. Burial will take place at Cold Springs United Methodist Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cold Springs United Methodist Church, 2550 Cold Springs Road E., Concord, NC 28025.
