Allan Forsyth

Allan Nathaniel Forsyth, 89 years of age, of Stanfield, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at home. Mr. Forsyth was born September 13, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Allan Richard Forsyth and the late Cecile Martha Forsyth. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Grace Dockham Forsyth. A funeral service was previously held at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland and was officiated by Rev Doyle Holder. Burial was at the Locust Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Survivors include daughter, Carol Coley, and husband Junior, of Stanfield; and sister-in-law, Evangeline Snider of Locust. Allan proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County 960 North First Street Albemarle, NC 28001.
