Allease Barbee

Mrs. Iris Allease Krimminger Barbee, 86, formerly of Locust, passed away Monday, February 1, 2011, at Forrest Oaks Nursing Home. She was born August 7, 1924 in Union County to the late Ray Franklin Krimminger and Ida Mae Autry Krimminger Reeder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Barbee; four brothers; and one great-granddaughter. Allease was a member of Kinza Memorial Baptist Church in Stanfield and a homemaker. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Kinza Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Nance officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at the home of Ray Barbee, 805 Brief Road, Indian Trail. She is survived by son, Ray Stanley Barbee, of Indian Trail; daughter, Iris Barbee Yow, of Concord; brother, Kenneth Krimminger, of Oakboro; granddaughters, Crystal Tucker, Beneika Bolen, and Cathy Thomas; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
