Allen Austin

Allen Davis Austin, 68, of Marshville, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at CMC - Union in Monroe. He was born January 31, 1945 to Homer David Austin and Jewel Delphia Jane Austin who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby Marie Austin, in May 2013. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle. The funeral service will be on Sunday, August 4 at 4:00 pm at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Marshville officiated by Rev. Gene Hopkins and Rev. John Miller. A 30 minute state will be held prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include daughter, Anna Johnson of Oakboro; daughter, Cindy Austin of Marshville; grandsons, Corey and Jeremy Johnson; 3 sisters, Lorraine Helms and Angel Tarlton of Marshville, and Patricia Mullis of Stanfield;3 brothers, Boyce Austin and Royce Austin both of Marshville and brother; Tim Austin of Locust.
