Alma Hunter

Alma Louise Hunter, 96 years of age, of Concord, passed away, surrounded by loved ones, Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Brookdale Concord South.
Alma was born October 28, 1919 in Cabarrus County to the late John Albert Plott and the late Lillie Belle Baugh Plott.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Zeb Plott; and sister, Fannie Belle Tucker.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, May 6, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Tom Gibbs. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
Survivors include husband of 58 years, J.R. Hunter of Concord; daughter, Lin (Lawrence) Tillman of Charlotte; grandson, Chad (Holley) Tillman of Matthews; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Carlie.
She retired from Union Carbide. In her younger days, she enjoyed singing and playing guitar and piano with her sister, and square dancing. She left her family with many loving memories.
