Alton Sharpe Sr

Mr. Alton Laverne Sharpe, Sr., 67, of 99 Bethel Church Road, Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at his home. He was born on August 4, 1943 in Columbia, SC to the late Clarence Edgerton Sharpe, Jr. and Decie Annette Gartman Sharpe. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord from 1:30 until 3:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM with Deacon Myles Deacker officiating. Burial will be at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his sons, David Sharpe, of Mt. Pleasant and Alton Laverne Sharpe, Jr., of Albemarle; daughter, Julie Ann Adams, of Lancaster, SC; brothers, Robert, J.D., and Charles Sharpe; sisters, Mary Ann Outlaw, Frances Vinson, Jean Baughman, and Thelma Patton; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
