Alvin Hopkins

Alvin Dewitt Hopkins, age 75, of Albemarle, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 6:00pm unitl 8:00pm. Alvin was born on December 22, 1937, to the late William Hopkins and the late Emma Hopkins. Mr. Hopkins is survived by two sons, Ronald Alvin Hopkins of Albemarle and Travis Hopkins of Albemarle; a brother, Dewey Hopkins of Albemarle; three sisters, Ruth Goss, Lucy Helms and Ileene Hall all of Albemarle; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family requested that memorials may be made to Hartsell Funeral Home c/o Alvin Hopkins Account, PO Box 7, Albemarle NC 28001, to help with funeral expenses.
