Ambrose Pierce

Ambrose Benjamin Pierce, 76, of 9705 Pierce Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079, passed away on October 14, 2009, at Presbyterian Main in Charlotte. Mr. Pierce was born in Wilkes County on November 8, 1932 to the late Edward Pierce and Anna Belle Pierce. He was the owner and operator of Pierce Farrier Supply and was a member of Arbor Grove Methodist Church in Wilkes County. Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at Oakboro Cemetery, 1397 N. Main St., Oakboro, NC, with Rev. Homer Greene officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Stanly County DAV, Chapter 12. Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife, Ann Cook Pierce; daughters, Samona Adams and husband, Mark, of Mint Hill, Mitzi Cribb and husband, Randy of Albemarle; son, Marcus Pierce and wife, Debbie of Indian Trail; grandchildren, Landon Adams, Rebecca Cribb and Benjamin Cribb; sisters, Jean Guffey of Indiana, Tean Ellis of Wilkesboro, and Jackie Lankford of Miller's Creek.
