Amy Lynn Edwards Boger, 45 years of age, of Oakboro, passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at her home.
Amy was born December 19, 1970 in Stanly County to the late Haywood Edsel Edwards and Mildred Jeannette Edwards of Oakboro.
She was also preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Vance and Pauline Hathcock and paternal grandparents, Haywood and Viola Edwards.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Hartsell Funeral Home-Albemarle. A 30 minute state will be held prior to the funeral service, which will be on Friday at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Oakboro and officiated by Rev. Dr. Terrell Watts and Rev. Dwight Mabry. Burial will follow at the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd., Stanfield.
Amy is survived by her husband, Mike Boger of Oakboro. A loving mother and a devoted daughter, Amy is also survived by one son, Chance Boger, and one daughter, Claudia Boger; and brother, Mark (Lisa) Edwards of Leland, NC; and her mother, Jeannette Edwards.
The family will be gathering at the home of Junior and Joy Harris, 12954A Oakgrove Road, Oakboro, NC.
Well known in the banking industry, Amy was employed at Security Bank, CCB, Home Savings Bank and Bank of NC.
