ANDREA REILLY WATERS passed away Friday, April 1st, 2016, at the age of 49, at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC after a long and courageous battle with cancer. All who knew her were inspired by her faith, positive attitude and determination.
Andrea was born September 6, 1966 in Concord, NC to the late Dianne Freeze Reilly and Jack Reilly. She was the granddaughter of the late Charlie and Sue Freeze of Concord, NC and Jack and Mary Reilly, Sr. of Albemarle, NC.
Andrea graduated from Concord High School and later from Kings Business College in Charlotte, NC. She was a wonderful Mother to Jared and Caitlin and family activities revolved around them, especially sports. She and Todd, her husband of 24 years, created many loving memories for their children. Andrea was an active member of Bethpage United Methodist Church in Kannapolis, NC and appreciated the love and support of the church members. A special word of love and appreciation to Pastor Duane Melton for all of his support over the years. Andrea worked several years at the DMV License Plate Agency in Concord and later at Ben Mynatt Nissan in Salisbury and Ben Mynatt Chevrolet in Concord. The Mynatt family and employees were fantastic in their support of Andrea. She truly loved working there and valued the many friendships she made.
Andrea is survived by her husband, Todd Waters; son Jared Waters; daughter Caitlin Waters; father, Jack Reilly; and by her brothers, Jackie Reilly (Stephanie), Patrick Reilly (Tiffany), and Kevin Reilly; sister-in-law, Pam Icard (Mark); brother-in-law, Scott Waters (Timisha); father and mother-in-laws, Jim and Pat Waters; loving nieces and nephews, Dalton, Madison, Laney, Ian, Luke, Matt, Kiristan and Brittney. Also, a special cousin, Mac McGuire and other cousins. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Chris Shaver, amazing friend and neighbor for her love and support; and to loyal, dear friends Cheryl Baskins, Paula Cook and Lisa Faine. A special thank you to the staff of the Levine Cancer Center of NorthEast Medical Center and Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for their care and support.
Visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 3rd, 2016. Service will be at Bethpage United Methodist Church, 109 Fellowship Avenue/West C Street, Kannapolis, NC, Monday, April 4th at 3:00 p.m.
It is her request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to Andrea Waters Childrens Educational Donation Fund and mailed to Wells Fargo Bank, 216 West Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
