Anita Gainey

Anita Carol Blalock Gainey, 60 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away, Monday, September 8, 2014 at her home.

Carol was born June 30, 1954 in Stanly County to the late Henry Vernon Blalock Sr. and the late Nell Esther Blalock. She was also preceded in death by daughter, April Michelle Thompson, and a brother, Henry Vernon Blalock Jr..

A private service will be held at a later date. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of her sister, Linda Herlocker at 38920 Tower Road in Albemarle.

She is survived by brothers, Rudy Blalock of Charlotte and Timothy Blalock of Albemarle; sisters, Linda B. Herlocker of Albemarle and Dorie Blalock Akers of North Myrtle Beach; grandson, Cameron Thompson; great-granddaughter, Kymberlyn Hobson; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
