Anita Harris

Anita Marie Mauldin Harris, 52 years of age, of Albemarle, passed away at 3:51 PM Friday, May 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Anita was born July 19, 1961 in Stanly County to the late Bill Mauldin and Julia Mauldin of Albemarle. She was also preceded in death by sister, Mitzi Mauldin. A gathering of family and friends in remembrance of Anita will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. At other times the family will be meeting at the home, 33931 Shaver Road in Albemarle. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 27 years, Benny Harris of the home; sons, Eric Vanhoy and wife, Angie, and Corey Michael Harris, both of Albemarle; grandchildren, Angel Morgan, Kynlee Harris, Joseph and Britney Dulin, all of Albemarle; brother, Randy Mauldin and wife, Cindy and their family, all of Albemarle; and the daughter, Sierra Mauldin, of her late sister Mitzi. A special heartfelt thank you to: Jennifer, Angie, Krystal, Jessi, Cindy, Joyce, Tracey, Althea, Janet and Tina for their many acts of kindness during her illness. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Stanly County and the Levine Cancer Center of Albemarle for all of their compassionate care and support during this difficult time.
