Anita Hill

Anita Ernestine Hill, 75, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Trinity Oaks Health and Rehab in Salisbury.

Anita was born February 16, 1947 in Stanly County to the late Ernest Alexander Whitley and the late Ruth Blondell Whitley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Alexander Whitley, Jr..

She graduated from West Stanly High School in 1965 and the University of NC @ Chapel Hill in 1971.  She was a teacher for many years, worked in banking and was a real estate broker prior to her retirement.  She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 17236 Frog Pond Road, Oakboro, North Carolina. Burial following in church cemetery.  Service will be officiated by Dr. Rev. Shad Hicks.

Survivors include husband of many years, Reginald Doran Hill of Oakboro, NC and a  nephew, Adam Aleron Whitley of Asheville, NC.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 17236 Frog Pond Road, Oakboro, NC  28129 or the American Cancer Society in memory of Ernie Whitley and Janice Hill.
