Ann Chandler

Ann H. Chandler, 89, of Albemarle, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Novant Health - Huntersville Medical Center.

Ms. Chandler was born April 26, 1929 to the late Clifford Lee and Velma Smith Hatley. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Donald Chandler and sisters, Nancy Moose, Janelle Smith, Doris Almond. Ann was known as the kindest person that one could meet. She was a sweet lady that will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 pm, Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Salem United Methodist Church, 20987 NC 73 Hwy, Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Rev. Steve Combs . Burial will conclude in the church cemetery.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Beverly Chandler Rao and husband Bill Stermer of Huntersville; grandchildren, Tony Rao, Angela Rao, Joe Rao and wife Chloe all of Charlotte.

Memorials may be made to many organizations that Ann held dear, Salem UMC, 20987 NC 73 Hwy, Albemarle, Christian Ministries, American Diabetes Association,  Dementia Foundation or Kidney Foundation
