Ann Meadors

Ann Calais Vann Meadors, 74, of Oakboro passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held following visitation at 2:00 a.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Oakboro Cemetery. Ann was born on October 16, 1937, to the late Thomas Calais Vann and the late Cornelia Rebekah Phillips Vann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Marvin Meadors. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Meadors and his wife Ellen of Stanfield and Larry Meadors and his wife Carol of Oakboro; a daughter, Cheryl Meadors and Stan Burris of Oakboro; two brothers, Thomas “Skip” Vann of Greensboro and Jimmy Phillips of Carthage; a daughter-in-law, Dwana Meadors of Albemarle; seven grandchildren, Aimee, Brian, Brooke, Richey, Jessica, Brayden and Sheridan; three great grandchildren, Ashlynne, Anna and Alexandria; and a great-great-grandchild, Kinsley. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Meadors family.
