Anna Barbee

Mrs. Betsy Barbee, 64, of 6939 Barrier Georgeville Road, Concord, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at CMC NorthEast. Born on March 4, 1946 in Lincoln County to the late Alan and Mary Seth Beal. A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Stephens Wesleyan Church on Sunday at 4:00 pm with Rev. Gary Morris and Rev. Ronald Lee officiating. Internment will follow in the church cemetery. The family meeting place will be the home. Betsy was a retired school teacher from Coltrane Webb Elementary with over 30 years of service to the Cabarrus County School System. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maiden but attended St. Stephens Wesleyan Church. Betsy is survived by: husband of 40 years, David Karol Barbee, of the home; son, Chris Barbee, of Concord and his fiancée, Michelle Burleson, of Stanfield; sister, Linda Kirkpatrick, of Stanfield; caregivers, Betty Mauldin and Diane Hough. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stephens Wesleyan Church, 7601 Brushharbor Road, Concord, NC 28025 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
