Anna Lois McGoye, 86 years of age, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. She was born December 20, 1927 in Lonaconing, Maryland to the late James Leo Monahan and the late Anna Germaine Monahan.
She was also preceded in death by husband, James Patrick McGoye; sister, Colleen Catherine Robertson; brother, James Leo Monahan; and her grandsons Thomas Eugene Petitt and Christopher Allan Powell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 2014 at 11:00 at the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel in Concord, NC officiated by Rev. James Geiger.
Survivors include four daughters, Sheila Anne Anderson of Concord, NC; Patricia Carole Dukette of Concord; Mary Ellen Petitt and her husband Gregory Brian Petitt of Pittsburg, PA; Amy Marie Powell and her husband Tim L. Powell of Concord, NC; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Anna lived a life of dignity and grace and had a beautiful soul. The thing she most valued in her life was her family and she loved spending as much time with them as she could always wanting to make sure all were well taken care of. She leaves behind a legacy of much love and many wonderful memories. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081 made payable to HPCCC.
