Anthony John Swett

Anthony John Swett (Tony), 50, of Midland, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at his home. Tony was born February 27, 1974, in Charlotte, North Carolina to Karen Kay Carriker and the late Ronald Claude Swett.

Tony was a multi-sport athlete during high school, where his passion for sports first blossomed. When he wasn't cheering for his favorite football team, the Carolina Panthers, he could likely be found enjoying his beloved Marvel series amongst his profound DVD collection or rewatching Supernatural, quoting nearly every other line. Tony loved to travel and create lasting memories with his family, especially at the beach.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 12pm at Mint Hill Baptist Church in Mint Hill officiated by Pastor Will Stoneham and his uncle, Russ Lee. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Mint Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include mother and step-father, Karen Carriker (Ron) of Indian Trail, NC; children, Destiny Swett (Matthew), of Locust and Brandon Swett (Kelsey) of Kannapolis; grandson, Brady Swett; sister, Tammie Lambert; step-siblings, Ronnie Carriker (Rebecca), Trilby, and loved by aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Additionally, an honorable mention goes to his beloved dog, Coco.
