Anthony Sykes

Anthony Paige Sykes, age 63 of Albemarle, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at his home. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 26 at 11:00 AM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US 220 Business N., Asheboro, NC, officiated by Rev. Bryant Madren. Mr. Sykes was born in Randolph County on October 6, 1948 to the late Jesse Paige Sykes and the late Eula Yow Sykes. He is survived by his wife, Delia Caro Sykes of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Anne Sykes and Lilly Jayne DuPuy; three sons, Anthony Paige Sykes, Jr., Daniel Louis Sykes and Michael Edward Cupino; two sisters, Garlene Rich and Rufine Beane; one brother, Leon P. Sykes and three grandchildren, Anthony Paige Sykes, III, Addison Marie Sykes, and Elijah Louis Sykes. Mr. Sykes was a lifetime member of the NRA and the Safari Club International. He also had memberships in the NC Auctioneers Association, American Marine Surveyors, and the Jeweler Trade Board. He loved to travel and he was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman.
