Arthur Coleman, Jr

Arthur “Jr” Leon Coleman, 63, of Midland, NC went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2011. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 26, from 6-8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The service will be held Sunday, February 27 at 2 PM at New Grace Baptist Church. Burial will follow at West Concord Cemetery. Pastor Allen Montgomery will officiate the services. Jr. was born in Spartanburg, SC on September 20, 1947 to the late Leon and Jeanette Coleman. During his life he was a fire fighter for Flowes Store Volunteer Fire Department, and worked 23 years for Carolina Frame and Trailer. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, video gaming, horse shoeing and playing cards. He loved his family and friends who were very important to him. Jr. is survived by his wife Sandra Faye Newman Coleman; daughters, Janice and Elizabeth Coleman of Midland; grandson, Taylor Craig of Midland; brother, Charles Coleman, of South Carolina; sisters, Clara Richardson of Arkansas, Louise Perdue of Carolina Beach, Annie Coleman of Charlotte?; half-brothers, Terry Coleman of Charlotte, Donald Coleman of South Carolina; half-sisters, Geraldine Coleman, Nancy White, Charlotte Coleman, all of South Carolina; step-brothers, Harshall Brenen, Stoney Coleman; step-sister, Cynthia Jordan; and numerous nephews and nieces.
