Arthur Wheeler

Arthur James Wheeler, 82, of Concord, passed away Good Friday, March 30, 2018 at home with family by his side.

Arthur was born June 30, 1935 in Lancaster SC to the late Miles and Rozell Wheeler.  He was also preceded in death by son, Danny Wheeler; sisters, Minna W. Threat, Mary W. Rollings, Ada W. Edwards, and Lib W. Green.

Church was a big part of Arthur's life.  He was a dedicated member of Harrisburg Baptist Church for 25 years.  He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.  Arthur and his son, Ronald, enjoyed working on old tractors.  He will always be remembered for calling to check in on everyone.

Survivors include beloved wife of 48 years, Frances Louise Wheeler; son, Ronald (Lisa) Wheeler; son, Michael (Angie) Wheeler; daughter, Kathy W. Sims; sister, Barbara W. Hastings; grandchildren, Ricky, Tracy, Jeremy, Jamie, Matthew, Kasey and Emily; 6 great-grandchildren; and several step great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 15, 2018, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord.  The funeral service will be 11:00 am, Monday, April 16, 2018 at Harrisburg Baptist Church, 6525 Morehead Rd, officiated by  Dr. Rev. Bill Clevenger. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
