Attie Odessa Burris Murray, age 93 of 20661 Sam Rd, Albemarle, NC 28001, passed away on June 22, 2010 at Lutheran Home of Albemarle. Born in Stanly County on November 24, 1916. Attie Odessa Burris Murray was preceded in death by her spouse Grady Gold Murray in 2006; her father and mother James Chesley Burris and Sarah Ellen Morton Burris; three brothers and one sister. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and attended as long as her health permitted. Memorials may be made to: Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 18523 Newsome Rd, Oakboro, NC 28129. The family will meet at the home of daughter, Pat Mauldin.. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. Funeral service will held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, 522 N. 2nd Albemarle NC. with the ministers Rev. Wayne Bennett, Rev. Phillip Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Bapt Church Cemetery She is survived by her daughter Pat Mauldin and husband Alvin of Albemarle NC; her grandchildren, Deedie Sarif and husband Nick of Albemarle NC, and Robin Reardon and husband John of Albemarle NC; Great Grandchildren, Grayson and Chase Sarif; sister Viola Simpson.
