Aubrey Barbee

Mr. Barbee, of 7337 Barrier Georgeville Rd., Concord, died at CMC-Northeast on January 5, 2010. He was born April 28, 1938 in Concord, NC to the late Grady Julius Barbee and Ada Catherine Linker Barbee. He is preceded in death by two brothers; Billy Lee Barbee and Herman Wayne Barbee, Sr. He worked with heavy equipment for R.F. Shinn in Concord. He was a charter member of the Georgeville Fire Department. Other members will be active and honorary pallbearers. The family meeting place will be at the home of his sister, Pat Smith, 6280 County Line Rd., Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124. He is survived by his brother Ray Barbee of Locust, NC and his sister Pat Smith of Mt. Pleasant, NC. Visitation will be Thursday, January 7 from 6 - 8 PM at Hartsell Funeral Home - Midland. Service will be held Friday, January 8 at 2 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church, where he was a member. Rev. Bill Cranfield will officiate the service.
