Augusta Kirk

Augusta Nichole (Devereaux) Kirk, 23 years of age, of Concord, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014.

She was born April 4, 1991 in Charlotte, NC to Charles Kevin Kirk and Teri Lynne (Thomas) Kirk.

Augusta graduated from Concord High School in 2009. She was enrolled in the Medical Coding and Billing Program at RCCC where she was awarded with induction to the Sigma Alpha Pi Honor Society. She loved her animals, going to the beach and mountains, and going to the drag races. Augusta enjoyed learning new things, and could be found studying most anytime. She was happiest being outside in the fresh air and wearing her favorite camouflage. If you had the privilege to ever meet her, you immediately loved her sweet kind personality. She truly was an angel. Her family, friends and fiance Jamie loved her very much.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Concord officiated by Rev. Neal Workman of Foresthills Baptist Church of Monroe, NC. A private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord at a later date.

Survivors include her fiance Jamie Devereaux of Concord; her mother, Teri Lynne Kirk of Concord and her father Charles Kevin Kirk also of Concord; her brothers Andrew Kirk and Anthony Morrison, Jr. both of Concord; her grandmother Peggy Thomas of Concord; grandparents Kay and Charlie Kirk of Concord; and great grandmother Doris Kirk of Concord; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Augusta was preceded in death by her grandfather Gary Thomas in 2013.
