Aurelia Sharpless

Aurelia Denise Sharpless, 63, of Concord, passed away on January 6, 2021 in Concord, NC.

Aurelia worked as a payroll clerk at Pillowtex for over 2 decades.After the plant’s closing, she worked in customer service at HHGregg until retiring in 2011.Aurelia thoroughly enjoyed reading and watching films, but music was her passion. You could find her picking up the newest album release every Tuesday.

Aurelia married William Adolphus Sharpless of Maple Hill, NC on May 26th, 1988. They settled in Concord and raised their family there.

She was preceded in death by her father, James; mother, Artelia; and son, Gregory Marquey Sharpless.

Aurelia is survived by her loving spouse of 33 years William; son, William Adolphus Wylie and his wife Christina Garcia; son, Duncan Williams; daughter, Azail'yah Israel and her husband Seriyah Israel; daughter, Veronique Sharpless and her husband Montreal Mathis; sister, Veronica Mitchell; brother, James B.Wylie; four nieces, Lavinia Mitchell, Leatrice Pollock, Gail Grady, and Jennifer Mitchell; along with 3 beloved grandkids.

Visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, NC on Saturday, January 16th, 2021 from 12pm to 2pm.
