Auta Eudy

Auta B. McLester Eudy, 92 years of age, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Eudy was born October 20, 1920 in to the late Jessie Alford McLester and the late Dora Augusta Boone McLester . She was also preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Charlie Clay Eudy, in 2009 and brothers, Clarence McLester, Spurgeon McLester, and Curtis McLester and sisters, Ruby Eudy and Vastie Crayton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday at Immanuel Baptist Church, Albemarle, with a 30 minute state prior to the service. Rev. Joe Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairvew Memorial Park, Albemarle. Survivors include son, Clegg (Elaine) Eudy of Albemarle, son, Dwight (Vicky) Eudy of Albemarle, daughter, Josephine (Bob) Huneycutt of Albemarle, daughter, Melinda (JR) Drake of New London, brother, J. W. McLester of Albemarle, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 1309 Old Charlotte Road, Albemarle, NC 28001.
