Axel Chaney

Axel Paul Chaney, young son of Jonathan Dakota Chaney and Jenna Alexis Wilson, passed away January 18, 2012 at Anson Community Hospital. Axel was born January 26, 2010 in Mecklenburg County. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 22, at First Baptist Church of Midland. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary officiated by Rev. Tom Gibbs. At other times, the family will meet at his home. Survivors include his parents, Jonathan and Jenna, of the home; his sister, Autumn Jade Chaney; maternal grandparents, Michelle and Terry Wilson of Concord; paternal grandparents, Brenda Chaney of Oakboro; maternal great-grandparents, Judy and Jack Monette of Concord; maternal great-great-grandmother, Jean Pettigrew of Concord; paternal great-grandparents, Lance and Betty Chaney of Oakboro; and paternal great-great-grandmother Helen Shinn of Albemarle.
