Bailey Kiser

Bailey Franklin Kiser, 83, of Kannapolis, NC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Bob & Carolyn Tucker Hospice House.

He was born March 31, 1932 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Grady Lee and Lucille Hartsell Kiser. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Jean Rinehardt.

Mr. Kiser was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1951 to 1955 as an Aviation Electrician's Mate, First Class. Mr. Kiser was a member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church. He also taught Sunday School at the Brian Center Cabarrus. He was employed by several trucking companies including Hennis Freight Lines and RFX Logistics from which he retired.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Thelma Harwood Kiser; three children, Dawn Kiser Helms of Concord, Joy Kiser Lugar (David) of Mt. Pleasant; Trent Kiser of Kannapolis; granddaughter, Sonia Lynne Dudley of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Jolene Kiser Pope and Patsy Kiser Thompson (Ken).

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Darrell Brumfield. He will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, with full military honors conducted by the National Honor Guard.
