Banks "Hazel" McDonald, 93 years of age, of Concord , passed away Friday, January 29, 2016.
Mr. McDonald was born August 15, 1922 in Concord, NC to the late Wilber McDonald and the late Dora Bost McDonald. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Dorton McDonald in 2008; infant son Jock Dorton McDonald; as well as sister Geneva Carter and brother Al McDonald.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Hugh Biggers. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the burial.
Survivors include his daughter, Deloris "Dee" Almond and husband Richard of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Shannon Almond, and Brad Almond of Concord, NC; sisters in law Lucille McDonald and Helen Dorton; as well as brother in law Lewis Dorton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bullies 2 the Rescue, 323 Unionville Indian Trail Road, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
