Barbara Ann Whitley

Barbara Ann Whitley, 85, of High Point, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Hospice Home of High Point.

Barbara was born August 13, 1938, in Albemarle to the late Henry and Marie Whitley. She was also preceded in death by sister, Rachel Tucker.

Barbara was a fabulous bowler and enjoyed attending the Stanly YMCA. She also participated in the senior games. She dearly loved her family and all animals, especially her cat. She also loved driving her little Ford Ranger truck. Barbara was always easy-going and soft-spoken. Most of all, Barbara was a loving sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

 Survivors include sister, Jewel Barbee, of Oakboro; sister, Jerry Barley, of Archdale; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm, Monday, July 29, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Gene Hopkins. Burial will follow at Red Cross Baptist Church Cemetery, 112 W. Red Cross Rd., Oakboro.
